Generally the first step to laying out a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is to understand the client's requirements and translate those requirements into a schematic that will perform the tasks. This schematic is then used to simulate the circuit, generate a Bill of Materials (BOM), and then for the PCB Layout.
PCB Layout is handled by software tools such as Altium, PADs, or PCB Editor. After layout is done, the Gerber or ODB++ files are sent to a fab shop where the bare PCBs will be produced. Assembly drawings are created for placing the components on the PCB once they are fabricated. We support our clients through the full cycle of getting a PCB operational.
